Slovak universities can compete globally – and Trnava University just proved it

Philip C. Jessup Moot Court Competition 2025, Trnava University, Faculty of Law, Trnava, Slovakia, Patrik Ondrejech

In the world’s largest and most prestigious moot court competition – the Philip C. Jessup Moot Court – the team from the Faculty of Law at Trnava University ranked 13th globally for Best Written Submissions, earning the Alona E. Evans Award for Best Memorials.

🎯 But here’s the real headline:

Trnava University has now placed in the world’s TOP 20 three years in a row – likely the only university in the world to achieve this rare distinction.

That’s 700+ competing universities, including Harvard, Oxford, Cambridge, and Singapore... and a team from Slovakia standing shoulder to shoulder with the very best.

Representing our university with excellence:

👩‍⚖️ Eva Gergelová

👨‍⚖️ Peter Jarábek

👩‍⚖️ Simona Hambálková

👩‍⚖️ Viktória Vrablanská

👨‍🏫 Coaches: Patrik Ondrejech, Ivan Vu Nhu & Dr. Bednár Marková

This is proof that world-class results can come from Trnava – and that Slovak higher education deserves recognition not only at home, but also on the global stage.
